Do I need Shopify?
No. Shopify is the quickest, with kitlab added to your theme and add to cart built in. WooCommerce has the kitlab plugin, which does the same. Any other website embeds the designer with one script tag and takes orders as quote requests.
We don't have a designer, 3D models or designs. Can we still use kitlab?
Yes. Our 3D modeller creates your 3D models and designs as part of setup. After that your customers design their own kits in the designer, so you don't need a designer of your own to take orders.
Can it use our own 3D models and designs?
Yes. We move your current 3D models and designs into kitlab during setup, up to the number of garments your plan includes, so print files come out on your own artboards. With Studio, your own designer can bring in new artwork from Illustrator or SVG whenever you like.
What does the setup fee include?
Moving your current 3D models and designs into kitlab, or our 3D modeller creating them if you don't have them, setting kitlab up on your store and connecting it, and any final custom tweaks you'd like before you go live. More on setup.
What do we get with each order?
The customer's choices, front and back previews, the logos they uploaded and a print file for every player with their name, number and size. Print files are SVG unless your print room needs another format.
What's a Design Room?
There are two, both on Studio and up. In a team Design Room, a team shares a kit, remixes it, votes and orders together. In a Studio Design Room, your designer sends the customer proofs to look at in 3D. They tag comments right on the kit, ask for changes or approve it, with no limit on proofs.
Will it slow down our store?
The designer runs in its own frame from our servers and only loads on the page you put it on, so the rest of your store is untouched.
What happens if we go over our plan?
Orders never stop. We let you know as you get close, and you move up when it suits you. Garments are capped per plan, so adding more than your plan holds means moving up a tier.
Can we change things after launch?
Any time. You can make most changes yourself in the admin and publish them in a click. We handle bigger changes for you, and with Studio your designer can put new artwork on the kit themselves.
What currency are the prices in?
kitlab's plans are in Australian dollars. The prices your customers see on your store stay in your store's own currency.
